Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Overview:

  • Fortivum are now looking for driven and detail-oriented Graduate Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to be part of some of the most advanced and high-value data centre projects across Europe.
  • As a graduate at Fortivum, you’ll gain hands-on exposure across all project stages, from early-stage feasibility and cost planning through to delivery and handover, while receiving structured support toward achieving chartered status (MSCSI/MRICS) through the SCSI/RICS APC pathway.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of cost estimates, benchmarking, and data analysis during feasibility and pre-construction phases.
  • Assist in cost planning and value engineering during design development.
  • Help with procurement strategy and preparation of tender documentation.
  • Tendering and Award of Contract packages
  • Undertake cost reporting, cash flow forecasts, and risk analysis during delivery.
  • Contribute to contract administration, valuations, change management, and final accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients in a multi-disciplinary project environment.
  • Engage with digital tools and platforms used in cost management (e.g. Bluebeam, CostX, Power BI).
  • Promote sustainability, innovation, and best practices in all aspects of cost consultancy.

Qualifications:

  • Degree (or in final year of study) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a SCSI/RICS-accredited construction discipline.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a passion for problem-solving.
  • A keen interest in data centres, technology-led projects, or mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with cost management software a plus.
